Abstract

Imru' al-Qais is considered one of the most prominent poets among the Arabs, especially in the pre-Islamic era. He is regarded as part of the noble class. He is recognized as the prince of Arab poets and their most prominent figure, universally acknowledged for his superiority. No other poet has achieved such a level of recognition in terms of attention or fame. Imru' al-Qais's poetry has continued to resonate through subsequent eras, serving as a model and an exemplar for later poets. His verses have inspired imitation and emulation among many Arab poets across various periods, establishing him as the master of poetry, renowned for his eloquence and skillful composition. This study examines the cultural and intellectual characteristics present in the poetry of Imru' al-Qais, providing an overview of the poet and the essence of the features such as cultural and intellectual features traits within his work. It reveals the beauty of Imru' al-Qais's imagery and his creativity in employing aspects of Pre-Islamic life in his poetry. This demonstrates his ability to transform elements of his civilization into verse, highlighting the poet's diversity, extensive travels, and Adopting visual sights to convey the Pre-Islamic heritage to his audience.
