This research addresses the topic of Guidance in Surah al-Fātiḥah: An Analytical Study of the Concept of Guidance and its Qur’anic Dimensions. The Holy Qur’an came with guiding teachings that lead to happiness; whoever adheres to them attains success and bliss, while whoever stays away from them and fulfills their whims heads to confusion and destruction. This study aimed to demonstrate the centrality of guidance in the linguistic and lexical structure of Surah al-Fātiḥah and to demonstrate that this short chapter is small in its verses and words but profound in its purposes, which embodies the core of the Qur’anic project, which seeks to guide humanity from confusion and misguidance to light and certainty. The researcher relied, in interpreting most of the verses, upon contemporary exegeses, foremost of which were al-Mīzān and Fī Ẓilāl al-Qur’ān. Also, he has benefited from some tafsīrs such as al-Taḥrīr wa al-Tanwīr, and others. The methodology adopted is the analytical-objective method, basing it on a comparative exegesis of the inductive method, by collecting the terms that denote guidance within the Qur’anic context.
